What Nearfolk does today — and what comes before launch
Nearfolk is in preview. Here is exactly what is and isn't active.
During the current preview
- No real orders, payments, reservations or payouts are active.
- No kitchen inspections, permit verifications or safety investigations are being carried out.
- All public cooks, checks, ratings, reviews, dishes and hosted tables are sample content.
- Nearfolk does not guarantee food safety, sanitation, allergen-free preparation, or the condition of any cook's home or kitchen.
- We do not show verification badges unless a specific check has been completed, recorded and is still valid. No such checks exist yet.
- Exact pickup and hosted-table addresses are not collected.
Before transactions launch, Nearfolk intends to activate
- Market-specific cook requirements
- Review of required permits and certificates where applicable
- Expiration monitoring for those documents
- Safety-reporting procedures
- Moderation procedures
- Address-release rules: when ordering launches, the exact pickup or hosted-table address will be shared only at the appropriate confirmed stage
- Order and reservation support
These plans remain subject to legal, insurance, payment-provider and market review.
If something is wrong
In an emergency, or if someone is unwell after eating, contact local emergency services or your public-health authority.
Nearfolk does not have a monitored safety-reporting channel during the preview. A reporting address will be published here once it is staffed.
